Gu’an Willow Weaving originates from Gu’an, Hebei. To weave a clothes basket, there are generally the following procedures like preparing the base, completing the base, closing up and finishing the handrail, and every rattan must be closely and tightly weaved with neat patterns. The closing up procedure is very important because it is to use different techniques like alternate weaving to form various strips. The fruit baskets, flower baskets and tea tables are made durable and portable, which have harmonious colors, clear and elegant patterns. Besides, the antique looking vase and imperial lanterns are well-shaped with beautiful pictures and colors and they embody the strong folk style.
